Theme Parks

Rapid Media Systems’ first installation was at Warner Village Theme Parks’ Helicopter Tour of Sea World in Surfers’ Paradise, Queensland, Australia (WVTP).

It is proving to be a significant financial success - with more than 100 there-and-then DVD purchases a day by people taking the tour and having the experience recorded.

Warner Village Theme Parks has installed a second system to offer souvenir DVDs to every single participant of its “Animal Adventures” marine life interaction programmes. A mix of above and underwater cameras are used to record both seal and dolphin swimming experiences.

The format of many experiences - whether a theme park ride, whether for safety reasons or because of extreme technical or environment challenges - makes it difficult, if not impossible, for guests to use their own cameras to record their once-in-a-lifetime experience for themselves. So a souvenir DVD, provided by the theme park as part of the cost of the overall package or as an incremental revenue opportunity, greatly enhances the guests’ experience and acts as a unique marketing tool for the company.

Rapid Media Systems’ process is fast, efficient, reliable and profitable - and, of course, what better advertisement is there for the attraction when guests show their friends and family their experience?

Once installed, the raw materials cost around £1 ($2) per guest for a finished product that sells for anything up to £40 ($80).
